Why it matters

A successful backup is only useful when the data can be recovered.

Accidental deletion, ransomware, hardware failure and compromised accounts can all interrupt access to critical information. Primeworks designs and manages backup around what your business actually needs to restore, where that data is stored and how quickly the business needs it back.

01

Local files and business systems

Protect selected data stored on servers, workstations and supported business applications according to an agreed backup scope.

02

Microsoft 365 content

Back up covered mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data every 24 hours rather than relying only on Microsoft’s native retention.

03

Encrypted data protection

Backup data is encrypted in transit and at rest, helping protect it while it moves and while it is stored.

04

Disparate backup platforms

Microsoft 365 backups are stored outside Microsoft’s platform, reducing dependence on the same system that hosts the production data.

05

Monitoring and exception handling

Primeworks monitors backup activity and investigates failed or incomplete jobs rather than assuming that scheduled means successful.

06

Guided recovery

When information is lost, we help identify the correct recovery point and restore the data covered by the service.

How Primeworks manages it

A managed process, not another product to look after.

We take responsibility for configuration, monitoring and ongoing support, while keeping you informed about decisions that affect your business.

1. Identify critical dataWe establish what must be protected, where it resides, how it changes and the consequences if it becomes unavailable.
2. Configure and secure the backupPrimeworks applies the appropriate schedule, destination, encryption and retention approach for the agreed data.
3. Monitor and test recovery needsWe review backup status, respond to exceptions and help plan recovery priorities before an incident occurs.

Frequently asked questions

How often is Microsoft 365 backed up?

Covered Microsoft 365 mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data are backed up every 24 hours.

Are Microsoft 365 recycle bins and retention policies enough?

They are useful controls, but they do not replace an independently managed backup. A separate platform gives the business another recovery option.

Can every system use the same backup plan?

No. Backup design depends on the system, data volume, change rate, retention needs and recovery expectations. We scope these requirements before recommending a solution.
